Tanvir Ahmed told Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan to follow the footsteps of Virat Kohli and withdraw from international cricket if they did not feel respected after the Asia Cup 2025 Snub.

Their stroke forms have seen a huge fall and they have not been able to win competitions for Pakistan.
Because of their poor versions, they were measured from the Pakistani teams, and despite some speculations, they did not succeed in making the Pakistan team for the Asia Cup.
Babar Azam played 128 games for Pakistan and scored 4223 points on an average of 39.83 and a success rate of 129.22. On the other hand, Mohammad Rizwan played 106 games and scored 2723 points on an average of 47.41 and a success rate of 125.37.

Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were mainly omitted from the Asia Cup 2025 team because of their poor strike rates. Former Pakistan -fast bowler Tanvir Ahmed has encouraged the duo to retire from international cricket, according to the ‘Virat Kohli’ path, if they did not feel respected.
