Focus on these 3 overlooking keys to smoke your fairway forests

I recently scrolled through social media, I came one Enchanting video from Rory Mcilroy A fairway wood from the deck. The ball comes high and floates through the air with a tight draw and falls on the green 275 meters away. It is the kind of shot that most of us can only dream of beating.

If you are something like me, you know that it is the case that an approach has shot an approach will never happen. But that does not mean that I cannot take great photos with that kind of club in my hand. The only thing needed is to refine the technology a bit.

Most recreational golfers struggle in this respect. They take the fairway wood out of the bag and have no idea what they do – what you can see by the way they touch it.

Fortunately, touching a fairway wood pure is not as difficult as it seems. All you have to do is concentrate on a few keys that GolfTec director of teaching quality Josh Troyer explains below.

1. Focus on the ball position

You must have a consistent low point in your swing if you want to learn how to touch a fairway wood in the right way, and the easiest way to achieve this is by maintaining the right ball position. With a Fairway wood in your hand, Troyer says that this should be a club head in the win of your main foot.

“I see so many amateur golfers moving the position of the fairway wooden ball to where they have a driver,” says Troyer. “While you move that ball further forward in your position, your swing direction shifts more to the left. So even if you catch it solidly, you will probably cut it.”

You want your ball position to be near your posture, but don’t overdo it. A club head length in your main foot will do fine.

2. Don’t forget your attitude

Your posture width will vary, depending on the club and the fotty type that you are trying to touch. For the fairway wood you want your feet to be just Buiten shoulder width apart. This is achieved by simply moving the trail foot slightly backwards, while the ball position holds the same compared to your main foot. This maintains a correct setup without changing your swingbow.

“You just move your trail foot, maybe a quarter step further,” says Troyer. “So now effective, what you have done is that you have moved the ball a little ahead in your posture, but you have not changed where it is positive compared to your main foot.”

3. Wave down on it

GolfTec has analyzed millions of shots with their optimotion technology, and they have noticed that all pros are a bit of a swing down On the ball when you hit a fairway wood. This can be difficult for recreational golfers to bind themselves while trying to help the ball in the air. However, if they do this, their contact will only suffer.

“In short, just let the club do its job,” says Troyer. “In essence, you put your swingbow and your path and your approach with your setup, where you place the ball – now just wave. If you take a small divot, that’s fine.”

A shallow perspective is still ok, but don’t forget to take a small divot. If you do that, you will hit your Fairway forests a lot of better.
