The Airports Authority of India, in close coordination with BRO, successfully cleared the apron and taxiways on Saturday morning (January 24, 2026) to make the runway functional following an improvement in weather.
A major snowfall in Kashmir on Friday (January 23, 2026) forced the cancellation of flight operations at the airport as snow accumulated on the runway.
“Flight operations have resumed at the airport as a flight has just landed at the airport,” officials said at the Srinagar airport here.
“A joint inspection was conducted and flight operations resumed,” they said, adding that flight operations are now expected to run normally and smoothly.
However, an Indigo flight was canceled early in the morning due to adverse weather conditions here, while some others were canceled due to NOTAM (Notice to Airmen which provides vital information to pilots on flight safety) in Delhi, officials said.
There were some delays in the operation of some other flights, she added.
