Boston, Mon – de Boston Fleet Today announced that the team signed its 2025 second round Pick, by Ella Huber to a two -year standard player agreement through the 2026-27 Professional’s Hockey League (PWHL) season season. Huber is the first player selected in the PWHL design of 2025 to officially sign at Boston.
“We are very happy to lock Ella Huber here in Boston,” said Fleet General Manager Danielle Marmer. “She is an incredible skater at great speed and was a very productive player in Minnesota during her time. She played in the middle, but can easily move to the wing, especially with the pace that she brings with her. Ella is the type of player that can contribute everywhere in the line -up, on both ends of the ice.
Huber, resident of Northfield, Illinois, was selected by Boston by Boston on 24 June after four NCAA seasons at the University of Minnesota. As Gopher, the 22-year-old played a total of 156 games, earned 52 goals and 88 assists for 140 points, including a career-high 48 points (15 g, 33a) in 42 games as captain’s last year. Internationally, Huber earned a gold medal at the 2020 IIHF U18 World Championship World Championship and the US represented both the U18 series of 2018 and 2019 against Canada.
“I am more than enthusiastic to be an official part of the Boston organization and to call this incredible town hall,” said Huber. “It’s a great group, and I’m looking forward to getting started and building something special with the fleet here.”
Huber participates in a Fleet-Line-Up that has 19 other players under contract for the 2025-26 season, including fellow attackers Chloé Aurard, Hannah Brandt, Loren Gabel, Laura Kluge, Shay Müller, Jamie Lee Rattray, Sophzaa, Saulnieraa Tapani.
