Los Angeles Dodgers Two-Way Superstar Shohei Ohtani, San Diego Padres Right-handed Yu Darvish and Atlanta Braves Shortstop Ha-seong Kim are just a few of the talented stars that have come to MLB through the postal system in recent years. While teams want to upgrade their schedules out of season this season, various current players in the Japanese NPB and Korea’s KBO will try to make the leap to the big competitions.
Competition to sign each can be fierce.

3B/1B Kazumoto | NPBs Yamiuri Giants
The Giants have long been one of the most reserved teams of the NPB to post their players, but Okamoto will reach free desk after the 2026 season and seems to have the intention to go to MLB. Instead of losing him for nothing, there is a strong conviction that the team will bow his policy and the 29-year-old will post out of season this season. MLB teams scored him Since at least 2023.
Okamoto contributed an important home run against Rockies left-handed Kyle Freeland during the champion match of the Last World Baseball Classic (Japan won 3-2).
Okamoto has spent most of his 11-year career on the third base, but has also seen enough time about the diamond at first base, where some believe he is the better defender. The six-fold All-Star has hit .275/.359/.518 during his career with 206 Doubles and 244 Thuis Runs, which leads the competition three times. Despite the missing of three months after the injury of his elbow in a collision on the bases earlier in the season, he hits .312/.387/.559 with 11 hours and the lowest strikeout percentage of his career over 230 PA.
3b/info -song KBOs Heroes
Song is something of a unique case, because he just corresponded to a six -year contract extension with the heroes in August (worth 12b won or approximately $ 8.6 million USD). That deal contained language that the team will not prevent it from posting him if he asks for it what he expects to do. However, the new contract could serve as a benchmark that MLB teams have to top up to have him signed.
In the first place a third base, Song .283/.348/.430 hit in the KBO for nine years. The 29-year-old has placed career heights in scored points (94), Doubles (33), home runs (33), stolen base (24) and walks (66) this season.
RHPS Takhashi and Kona Takahashi | NPBs Seibu Lions
This season, Seibu is one of the most disappointing teams of the NPB and the lions can be confronted with a potentially transforming offsean and let both Imai and Takahashi leave for the Majors. Both right -handed people remain shy for the required service time to reach a free desk, but placing them now will prevent the lions from losing them for nothing while bringing in much needed funds for new additions. Their younger ages – Imai is 27, while Takahashi is 28 – will only help their appeal to MLB teams.
Imai-Die is said to have a few pitches that can reach the top 90’s, a rarity under Japanese pitchers-Is this season to the best arms of the NPB and placed a career-bear 1.67 ERA and a minuscule 0.892 whip over 145.2 IP with 162 strikeouts and 39 walks.
Takahashi – More a check -up world who doesn’t hit many batters – has a solid 3.05 ERA over 130.0 IP with only 36 free running. A report from Augustus from The Japanese Nikkai Sports indicated that scouts of the Angels, Athletics, Blue Jays, Cardinals, Mariners and Rangers had all been present at Takahashi’s Starts.
3b/infmunetaka Murakami | NPBs Yakult swallows
MLB-Teams and Fans-Hebben eagerly waited for Murakami’s message since he challenged the NPB Single-Season Home Run record in 2022 (he finished 56, four shy by Wladimir Balentien’s Record 60 in 2013). Another star of the Japanese WBC selection, Murakami is expected to be interested in several MLB teams and is perhaps one of the best Japanese batters who have been going to the Majors in recent years.
This season Murakami is limited to only 41 games after a shoulder injury that he sustained earlier in the year, but he got the best out of his playing time .284/.372/.709 with 19 home runs. The 25-year-old has spent most of his career on third base, but many scouts think that his future in the Majors might be at first. He has pureed 243 home runs and .274/.394/.551 during his eight seasons in the NPB.
