Fishermen who worked off the coast of Massachusetts attracted a dissolving body with their fishing nets on Friday, officials announced on Sunday.
The office of Suffolk County District Attorney said that detectives who were assigned to their office and responded to the American coast guard to a fishing ship in Boston that the body reported on Friday morning.
The fishing vessel said the body came up in the fishing nets about 40 miles off the coast of Massachusetts, the DA said.
The body “was wrapped and in a state of decomposition,” said the DA’s office, which is at the Chief Medical Examiner office for an autopsy.
The body is not identified.
