First Tee celebrates National Coaches Day with the launch of video series that present coaching philosophy

In honor of the National Coaches Day, the National Youth Development Organization First Tee proudly announces the launch of a new video series that brought the heart of his program to the attention: his coaches.

With the title ‘Coaching the First Tee Way’, the series offers a glimpse into how first tee coaches throughout the country create safe, supporting and empowerment environments where young people can grow on and next to the golf course. The series contains real stories, images and conversations with coaches and parents, and emphasizes how First Tee’s unique approach goes beyond the game.

“At first we believe that a coach is more than a teacher; they are a mentor, role model and positive power in the lives of a young person,” said Ryan Graff, vice -president of programs at First Tee. “This video series honors the thousands of coaches who bring our mission to life every day and shows the power of deliberate coaching.”

Every first Tee class is active, social and fun because children learn best when they are involved and supported. Our training program at multiple levels ensures that coaches are willing to bring this philosophy to life through four core building blocks: activities -based, empowerment of young people, continuous learning and control -driven. This holistic approach not only makes children better golfers, it helps them thrive at school, at home and in life. The series is designed to inspire current and future coaches, while offering insights into how First Tee integrates life skills and values ​​into every coaching moment.

Research by First Tee and the Harris survey shows that coaches leave a lasting impact that can extend in adulthood. More than 90% of parents with adult children say they have seen firsthand how youth sports can form the future of a child.
