Fireballs GC sealed their 2026 roster with the return of team captain Sergio Garcia on a multi-year extension and an all-Spanish lineup.

Garcia will lead a team consisting of David Puig, Josele Ballester and Luis Masaveu in the competition’s first all-Spanish line-up with the departure of Mexican Abraham Ancer to Torque GC.

“The return to Fireballs GC and LIV Golf reinforces everything we are building,” Garcia said in a statement.

“With David and Josele playing well in 2025 and Luis joining the team, our identity and competitive advantage are stronger than ever, rooted in pride, purpose and our collective emotional connection to the game.

“LIV Golf continues to set the pace worldwide, and I am committed to leading this group as we move forward and continue to raise the standard.”

In 2025, Garcia finished ninth in the individual standings, his third top-10 finish in four LIV Golf seasons.

He won his third start of the season in Hong Kong, becoming one of only three players to record victories in each of the past two seasons.

This follows a successful 2025 season in which the team finished third in the regular season standings – their best since 2022 – with consecutive team wins in Adelaide, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Consistent team

The team finished within points in 11 of the 13 events, highlighting its consistency within LIV Golf’s global schedule.

“This year has been a real growth for me, and a lot of that comes from learning with Sergio every day,” said Puig.

“His experience, his standards and the way he leads have helped me mature quickly. Being part of the Fireballs has accelerated my development and I’m excited to build on the growth I’ve already seen.”

Fireballs GC enters the 2026 season as the only team to record at least one tournament victory in each of LIV Golf’s four seasons.

Majesticks retain leaders

Meanwhile, Majesticks GC have announced that British icons Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood have officially re-signed with the team as co-captains for the 2026 season, joining new signing Laurie Canter.

As well-known figures in the golf world, Westwood and Poulter bring more than 60 years of combined professional experience.

Their career includes dozens of victories on the world stage and a long history of improving team environments.

Westwood’s clinical expertise and resilience, combined with Poulter’s passion, intensity and charisma, are contrasting yet complementary.

Poulter is known for his immense skill and daring personality. With victories on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, he has an impressive career profile.

“I have been a part of Majesticks Golf Club since day one and I am excited to continue that journey as a player and co-captain,” said Poulter.

“What we have built here, both on and off the course, is special, with a clear long-term vision.

Evolving scenario

“LIV Golf has changed the game in ways that excite players and fans alike, and being part of that evolution has been incredible.

“Re-signing for 2026 is an easy decision for me. I am as motivated as ever and I can’t wait to help this team into the 2026 season.”

Westwood added: “It’s fantastic to continue this journey with Majesticks GC.

“What we have built together over the last few years has been incredibly rewarding, and the progress we are making as a team and as part of LIV Golf is nothing short of incredible.

“I am determined to take us forward in 2026 and contribute in every way I can, both as a player and as a leader.”
