Final Rookie Report Card: Running Backs – Dynasty League Football

Throughout the 2025 season, the Rookie Report Card series included 34 of this season’s incoming rookie class. We looked at their performance to date, their potential for the rest of the season, and of course their long-term potential as fantasy assets. Now that we’ve completed the regular season, it’s time for the final grades. I looked at the quarterback class last week, and this week I’m rating the running backs based on their overall performance in 2025 and what I think they will do in the future.

Ashton Jeanty, RB LV

2025 stats: 266 carries for 975 yards and five touchdowns with 55 receptions on 73 targets for 346 yards and five touchdowns

Regular Season Rookie Report Card: Week 4

Considering how awful the Raiders were, Jeanty’s numbers are really good. They ranked last in yards per game (245.2) and rushing yards per game (77.5) and scored the fewest points in the NFL (241), averaging just 14.2 points per game. Jeanty getting into the end zone ten times is a miracle, considering the Raiders only scored 25 touchdowns all season. He finished the season as the top scoring rookie and was RB13, just outside RB1 territory. Not exactly what you wanted from the unanimous 1.01 in rookie drafts, but certainly not a bad start to his career. The Raiders offense can only get better from here, and Jeanty should be heavily involved for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately, the Raiders may not be good for the duration of his rookie contract.

Omarion Hampton, RB LAC
