Star four -year -old Fighter Command (Always B Miki) this year has scored an access to $ 2.1 million Eureka in Menangle when he played with his rivals to remove the $ 80,000 beautide on Hobart on Saturday evening.
Repeating his success last year when a three -year hunting command was even more formidable in the way his victory.

Driver James Herbertson wasted no time early when he sent the lanky gelding around the field and he had no trouble taking over the only three -year -old Merrieveeulen Barbary Tales. The only other runner under double figure Opportunities Cuzzy Bro was brought back to the back of the field and remained good everywhere.
Herbertson had the easiest run in the lead and let him stretch directly in the back to clear away and the issue was never doubted. Bettablack Tiger finished just over 25 meters away in the second, just before Barbary Tales who completely chased the winner for third place.
Fighter Command ran 1.55.1 for the 2080 meters with an impressive last quarter of 27.3 seconds.
Harness Racing fans remember the heartache a year ago when after winning the beautide and then at Melton, Fighter Command turned a gut who threatened his life for almost his life. At that moment it seemed as if the hunter command may not even racet again, even after the vets saved his life. Trainer Jess Tubbs has done excellent work in nurse Jager Commando back in the racing form and more importantly the promise we saw of him before his early setback twelve months ago.
Since that unfortunate Incident Fighter Command, eight times had been raced for two victories at Melton and Menangle.
He is sure to improve that effort and driver James Herbertson will take a lot with them, while the stable is preparing for the Eureka that will be performed in five weeks.
