Seller John sold the house in which his deceased parents, father Nicola and mother Rosa, had lived for about 60 years.

After emigrating from Italy to Australia, the couple rented in Brunswick before moving to their first Fawner residence where they saved money to build their dream home in William St.

After having worked in the Victorian railways and at the Ford factory of Broadmeadows, Nicola opened a milk bar in large RD and then another store.

“The front garden of my parents was a great place for flowers, but the back garden was just like a total vegetable plaster,” John recalled.
