Another week of the NFL season of 2025 is just about in the books. Here are the players you should focus in your fantasy football competitions, including options for smaller competitions and deeper competitions, as well as players to avoid.

Quarterbacks
Geno Smith” Las Vegas Raiders (Schedules in 10.0% of ESPN competitions)
- League -size: 10, 12
- Timeframe: Week 4, long term
Most fantasy managers will be better off to maintain their current quarterbacks than try to find a new one. Four of the top six that quarterbacks perform that are available on the exemption wire were temporary injury replacements. Marcus Mariota and Tyrod Taylor have set up many fantasy points this week, but both could already be on the couch next week. Most young quarterbacks that will ideally improve as the season progresses do not necessarily do this last week.
The only exception that is worth considering is Geno Smith. This year, Smith is judging slightly below the average under Quarterbacks, but the Raiders are in the top 10 in passing plays because they often play from behind. Smith is also in fourth place in the average depth of the goal (9.8 yards). The willingness of the Raiders to try large plays has paid off from a fantasy perspective.
Smith completed 19 of 29 passes for 289 yards and three touchdowns in week 3. He is one quarterback that is available for the exemption wire that can be placed with confidence in fantasy -starting line -ups when the matchup is good. Unfortunately, the Las Vegas schedule is not great in October, but the team will play the Chicago Bears next week. All three quarterbacks to be in Chicago this season ended in the upper half of the competition in fantasy points per match, although there is only one in the top 20 fantasy points per match.
Smith is the best option for everyone who is looking for a Quarterback this week – or someone who wants a safer option in the rest of the season.
Jake Browning” Cincinnati Bengals (13.2%)
- League -size: 10, 12
- Timeframe: Long -term
Browning suffered from the Bengal due to his first start of 2025, but he was faced with a strong defense of Minnesota Vikings. He completed 19 of 27 passes for 140 Yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. Although two interceptions are not great, much of the loss was not on him. Five Bengals players rumbled and three resulted in turnover. Cincinnati Also had a few three-outs. But the reasons why we found Browning last week are still true. The defense of the Bengal has not been great and they will allow many points. The attack must have a lot of passing volume, because it tries to keep pace with opponents, and Ja’marr Chase and Tee Higgins should help the fantasy value of Browning. Cincinnati plays teams with some of the best violations in the competition in the coming weeks, including the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Ravens Twice and Buffalo Bills. If the Bengal can limit sales, they will retain more discs, which leads to much more transient volume. When you combine that with some efficiency, you have a decent fantasy option.
