The overall fantasy in the past bElonG only for Travis Kelce, but as Kelce is taken, the young people have emerged in each of the last two seasons to steal the crown and set the tone for new blood to take over. Brock Bowers and Sam Laporta have proven that the field can be opened for newcomers and leaves our usual suspect (s) in the position, which forms the basis of this list on the way to the 2025 season.
In order to fit the Darkhorse theme and the qualifications, we look at tight ends that go outside the top 10 in their positional average design position to find another potential out of a bit, such as bowers and laporta last season, as difficult as it seems. Looking back on the impressive figures that Bowers, Laporta, Kelce and even Mark Andrews have posted in their Te 1 seasons, we must at least have a starting point for what we should look for in our potential Darkhorse options.
- On average almost 14 PPR points per match this season should be considered the absolute minimum for our TE1 candidates -a mark that Trey McBride, Brock Bowers and George Kittle were all affected last year.
- Various sleek ends praised with double-digit PPR points last season, so it will be necessary for a Darkhorse-Strak end to add a few points per match to get that upper echelon in 2025.
- Various other underlying statistics create the high-end points per game total that our earlier TE1s have provided in the past few seasons, which will hopefully help us limit who can break through this season.
- As is the case with most high-end receiving options, optimum efficiency goes hand in hand with our top fantasy finishers in the position.
- Yards per route is one of the most important stable statistics for tight ends, so those who have a history as the most efficient in the position should be able to produce almost 2.00 meters per route to get within reach of the total TE1.
- Every former TE1 completed top five in Pff that also received in those seasons, so having the skills to achieve that reach must also be considered.
- Finally, touchdown opportunities will be the key to the production of elite fantasia in the position, so a target rate with a red zone of almost 20% is crucial.
- 2021 was the only season from 2018 to 2022, where Kelce did not end as the total TE1, and it was also the only year in that reach that he did not come close to that 20%-plus goal interest rate of the red zone (15.1%).
- The commandos of a large part of the target share of the team is crucial for the elite fantasies success in a whole season, because all previous TE1s saw at least 21% of the goal cake in the year.
- As long as this is the case, it is less important to earn other potential target competition, because each of these earlier TE1s, apart from Travis Kelce 2022, had earned another player in the team itself a minimum 20% target.
With all the criteria in mind, we can take on the difficult task to identify which tight ends go to their position outside the top five, make a real push to become 2025s.

After back-to-back seasons of a Rookie that was finished as overall Te1, it would be impossible not to include any other on the list this year, especially in such a strong Rookie tight end class. Warren and even Colston Loveland are great options to continue that elite fantasia -striking trend, but to choose one for 2025, Warren may just have the best path to do this.
