Fantasy Football: 5 Last-Minute Waiver Wire Objectives Before Week 11

Estimated reading time: 5 minutes

With so many key fantasy players injured or parting ways, you may find yourself digging deeper into the waiver wire than you ever expected. Here are five players to consider adding to the waiver wire heading into Week 11 if you’re in a pinch due to injury or bye.

QB Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa isn’t often considered a potential streaming option. But with Miami’s offense showing signs of life lately, scoring 30 or more points in two of the last three weeks, he should be considered a viable option in big games. This Sunday morning he will play in Madrid, Spain, against the Washington Commanders, whose defense has allowed the second-most passing yards per game and passing touchdowns this season. They are allowing an astonishing 8.4 pass yards per attempt in 2025, which is the most allowed by any NFL team in the season since the 1975 New York Jets.

Quarterbacks have been eating into commanders’ secondary positions, especially lately. Washington allowed Jared Goff, Sam Darnold, Patrick Mahomes and Dak Prescott to each score more than 23 points in the last four games. If you need a week start to fill in for bye weeks or injuries, Tagovailoa can be found in the waivers of most leagues and this week is a great option.

RB Blake Choir, Los Angeles Rams

The Rams have had one of the best offenses in the league this season, and 2024 third-round pick Sean McVay is finally working on Blake Corum with some consistency in his game plan, with 13 total touches in each of the past three games and an increased role in the red zone and goal line – the most valuable areas of the field, especially for fantasy football managers. Corum is coming off a season-high 38.2% of offensive snaps played in Week 10, receiving 13 rush attempts to Kyren Williams’ 14, almost evenly splitting the backfield. He’s a viable flex play based purely on the potential for volume

Regardless of whether you need flex play in Week 11 or not – Corum shouldn’t spend much more time on waivers. Given the efficiency of the Rams’ offense and high scoring potential, Corum ranks as one of the most valuable backup running backs in the league. He has top-12 potential if Williams gets injured.

WR Michael Wilson, Arizona Cardinals

Now Marvin Harrison Jr. is out this week due to appendicitis and Zay Jones (Achilles) has been placed on the reserve list, Michael Wilson is the only man in the Cardinals’ wide receiver room. Wilson should see high target volume next Sunday in a great game against the San Francisco 49ers. Last week, Wilson saw a season-high seven targets but could only manage four receptions for 34 yards in a tough game against the Seattle Seahawks. This week will be much easier against the 49ers, who have allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers since Week 5. In that span, the 49ers have allowed 11 wide receivers to put up 11-plus points in a game against them, including five wide receiver performances of 16-plus points.

WR Tyler Lockett, Las Vegas Raiders

It didn’t take long for Tyler Lockett and Geno Smith to rekindle the bond they’ve had in Seattle for years. Lockett’s playing time increased from just 29% in his first game with the Raiders in Week 9 to 57% in Week 10. In a super-tough game against the Denver Broncos last Thursday night, Lockett led the Raiders with six targets, five receptions and 44 receiving yards. He’ll have a much easier matchup this Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys, one of two teams allowing more than 40 fantasy points per game at the wide receiver position this season (also the Pittsburgh Steelers). Lockett has a WR3/flex rating in Week 11 with a upside to finish much higher.

THE Pat Freiermuth, Pittsburgh Steelers

Despite the Steelers’ lack of a viable WR2 behind DK Metcalf and Arthur Smith as offensive coordinator, the tight ends haven’t found much consistency this season. What has remained consistent, at least for Pat Freiermuth, is his continued success against the Cincinnati Bengals. In eight games against the division rival, Freiermuth has averaged 16 fantasy points per game, never scoring fewer than 11 points in any of those games.

That success carried over again in their first meeting with the Bengals this year, where Freiermuth scored a career-high 25.6 fantasy points on a statistical line of 5-111-2. The Bengals currently lead the league with 80.2 receiving yards per game allowed to opposing tight ends this year, which translates to just over 19 fantasy points per game to the position – also a league record.
