Fantasy EFL: Is the 1-2-2-2 formation now viable? – Best FPL – Tips, Advice, Team News, Picks and Statistics from Fantasy Football Scout

Last season in Fantasy EFL, the 1-2-2-2 Training was rarely used because attackers did not offer a reliable source of points.

This season, new rule changes have given them an important boost.

But midfielders and attackers now earn one extra point for every shot on goal, while every two key passes are still worth an extra point.

As a result, we have seen a strategy shift. On the way to Double Gameweek 3, four of the top ten managers chose the 1-2-2-2 formation. Another four chose the 1-2-3-1And the remaining two went with one 1-3-2-1 Set.

Could the 1-2-2-2 formation of 1-2-2-2 with these changes and a focus on strikers could become a more usual and successful strategy?

Fantasy EFL 25/26: TOPTAKERS so far

Fleetwood Town’s Will Davies (F) Has been the peak in the first two game week and appears to be a great signature for the COD army.

The number nine scored 23 points in two games. In Gameweek 1 he opened his account (+5) in their 2-0 win at Barnet and made three shots on goal.

He succeeded this with an impressive 13-point trek on his home debut and scored a brace in their 2-1 win over Bristol Rovers. He again made two shots on goal, but was so lost.

Close behind, Stevenage Jamie Reid (F) has scored two in three for the BORO, helped them to win back-to-back victories, score three out of two and take three shots on goal, and to return 22 points.

17 points bound, crew alexandra’s Josh March (F) and stockport county’s Kyle Wootton (F) Both have started clearly.

The new Talisman van Crewe may not have opened his goal account, but has offered goals: three (+9) to be precise. He also made five important passes (+2) and makes two shots on goal. Wootton now has goals in successive competitions.

Davies in particular is the joint-derde highest score in the game.

Striking attackers who have not scored

There are also strikers that, like March, have not yet scored, but have nevertheless managed to return.

Jordan Ayew (F) Van Leicester City scored eight points in their 2-1 win over Sheffield on Wednesday. He took five shots on goal and made two important passes in the full 90 minutes.

For a moment, Ade Adeymo (F) Van Crawley Town earned five points for his three shots on goal in their 1-2 loss against Newport County (H).

Although these are not huge scores, it is certainly a major upgrade from last season, where regular spaces managers have frustrated.

Which formation is the best?

The current debate for Fantasy EFL managers: which formation will ultimately be the most effective?

For now we prefer the 1-2-3-1. This is because midfielders have several ways to score points. Not only corresponders for shots on target and key pass bonuses, but also contribute to both ends of the field, including interceptions (+2).

This does not mean that the other two are without his merits. The top two scorers in the game are defenders:

  • Jack Whatmough (D) Van Huddersfield Town – 25 points
  • Joe Low (D) Van Huddersfield Town – 24 points

However, the “23-point club” is more varied, including Barnsley’s Davis Keillor-Dunn (M) Burton Albion’s Charlie Webster (M)And Davies.

It still feels difficult to consistently choose who Devlier Weekly Point Hauls, in contrast to midfielders and attackers.

However, one thing is certain: there is no formation that “fits.” Because we can change our teams every week, we have the opportunity to be flexible.

Let’s use this to our advantage during the Fantasy EFL season.
