Fairway mortgage announced Monday that Holly Mattson has been promoted to co-president of recruiting, where she will oversee the company’s efforts to onboard mortgage manufacturers.
Mattson will work with David Lazowski, president of recruitment and growth at Fairway.
“Holly brings a passion and energy to this role that will help us usher in the next generation of loan officers who are looking for the support and technology to grow,” Lazowski said in a statement. “Holly brings a deep understanding of the mortgage industry in general, and of Fairway and its core values in particular.”
Mattson is in her 11th year at Fairway Home Mortgage and has 32 years of experience in the mortgage industry. Previously, she held the positions of vice president of TPO manufacturing, vice president of business development and senior vice president of sales and recruiting.
As the company’s top internal recruiter, Mattson and her team saw 174 lenders return to Fairway last year after working for other mortgage companies, according to the company’s announcement.
“I look forward to helping grow Fairway’s market share by connecting with originators who are looking for a place to grow their business through technology and unparalleled support,” said Mattson. “This step will also pave the way for even further development of Fairway’s affinity projects.”
Over the past year, Fairway has launched an ecosystem under its name Home.com umbrella with Fairway Home Insurance, Fairway Home Connect and the Made For Home credit card. The initiatives, overseen by Lazowski, are intended to help originators increase their revenue streams while strengthening borrowers’ ties with loan officers, the company said.
The company recently announced a partnership with the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) to unveil a new teaching certificate for NAIFA members.
