Facelifted jeep grand wagoneer plagued with illuminated face and range -extender Hybrid powertrain – Jalopnik

Stellantis has given us our first glance at the facelifted Jeep Grand Wagoneer. It is just a single display and a short video that hardly shows the luxury SUV, but we can already see some major changes for the 2026 model. In the beginning it is not clear, but there is a small loading gate flap on the left front fender; The standard gas cap coverage is hardly visible in the back, indicating that it needs both types of fuel.

The RAM 1500 Ramcharger has a similar valve in exactly the same place, and Jeep has already confirmed that the Wagoneer will get the Hybrid Powertrain from the Ramcharger, which combines a 3.6-liter V6 (uses an electric generator instead of direct propulsion), a 92 kWh battery and two electric motors. These may not be the same statistics that we see in the jeep, because Stellantis has not confirmed anything, but it seems likely that it would only use the exact arrangement of the Ramcharger. Eight-lug wheels are still a hint on the activated Grand Wagoneer’s electrified powertrain of the Grand Wagoneer, because the Ramcharger uses them, while other rams have only six cams of the wheel per wheel.

Let’s go crazy and also speculate that, since the Hemi V8 returns to the RAM 1500, it might also go back to the Grand Wagoneer. The Jeep lost the 6.4-liter V8 option after the model year 2023, making the Twin-Turbo 3.0-liter Inline-6 as the only motor option. It would be great to see all three engine choices available in the top model of Jeep.

The first thing I noticed when I saw the teaser was that the new Grand Wagoneer there has a Jeep -Badge on the hood where it belongs, instead of the old wagooner script. Jeep had tried to spin the modern wagoneer line in a separate luxury brand, which we found quite confusing. It is good to see that Jeep has come to the senses and the Grand wagoneer again in the Jeep -Line -Up embraces what it was always and will always be.

We have said earlier that the modern Grand Wagoneer is not nice enough for its name. It is certainly not a bad looking vehicle, but it is not exactly striking. Although the body is still lust, the facelift at least repairs the front with daring, more corner style and almost as much lighting as the new Mercedes-Benz GLC EV, and that says something. The distinctive jeep grid has been chased, with new lighting elements that run along the top and connect to the headlights. The intake in the bumper is now huge and is flanked by T-shaped lights in the corner inlet. We will see what other design changes have been made when the Grand Wagoneer from 2026 will be unveiled later this year.
