Day 3 of the fifth and final test in the oval was a story of fluctuating fortunes that eventually waved decisively in Indiafavor. After a dramatic day 2 in which 15 wickets fall, both teams came in day 3 with the match in balance. The batters of India, however, led by a century of a young prodigy child Yashasvi Jaiswal and a career-defenses of Akash DeepEngland’s determination and grabbed full control. The real hero of the morning, however, was Akash Deep. Promoted to number four, played the fast bowler with the calmness of a seasoned Batsman and scored a gritty girl test half century (66 runs of 94 balls). His innings was a mix of solid defense and aggressive beating, frustrating English bowlers and allowing Jaiswal to play his natural game. The pair forged a game-changing 107-run partnership for the third Wicket, which not only expanded India’s lead, but also the England’s Tempo attack, which was already a bowler by Chris Woakes‘Shoulder injury. Akash Deep’s invaluable contribution I came to an end when he was fired just before lunch, but his knock had already caused irreparable damage to the hope of England.
Washington Sundar’s attack and Mohammed Siraj’s late strike demoralizing England on day 3
In the Postlunch sessions, the dominance of India was further cemented by a collective batting effort that stacked relentlessly on the runs. While England managed to pick up important wickets, including Jaiswal for 118 and Ravindra Jadaja During 53 they could not stop the flow of runs. The last and most devastating blow came from all -rounder Washington Sundar. Sundar came to number eight and took the attack to the tired English bowlers and unleashed a barrage of aggressive shots that took the game completely out of the reach of England. He scored a sizzling fifty out of just 46 balls, an innings with four and four sixes, who demoralized the English field players who had also dropped six catches during the innings.

Sundar’s destructive cameee ensured that India’s second innings totally acted to a huge 396, so England set a discouraging target of 374 to win. This total is a psychological and historical obstacle, because it is considerably higher than the highest successful Run -purification of 263. Just when the openers of England, Zak Crawley and Ben Duckettseemed that they could survive the day and get a considerable start, the ruthless Mohammed Siraj provided the perfect finish for India. On the very last ball of the day, with the new ball in hand, Siraj threw a perfect burning yorker who rattled the stumps of bag Crawley and sent him back for 14. This late strike left England at 50/1 at stumps, and needed another 324 runs to win and put India in a command position to deliver the series.
