Former India National Cricket Team Opening -Batsman Aakash Chopra has sparkled shortly that the young Pacer Harshit Rana does not deserve to be part of the Asia Cup 2025 team.
Aakash Chopra stated that the performance of Harshit Rana was “extremely normal” in the recent edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and that there were better pacers than he was available for selection.

“The last IPL was extremely normal. His versions have not been very good. His numbers are not flattering. It does not seem like his numbers are strong enough to earn a place in the side,” he added.
Rana in particular won 15 Wickets in IPL 2025 on an economy of 10.18.

Prasidh Krishna should have had the chance – Aakash Chopra
Aakash Chopra was also of the opinion that the third specialist Pacer in the India team will usually stay on the bench with Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdep Singh as the starting XI, but added that the Prakidh Krishna and Mohammed Siraj were better picks than Harshit Rana. He went out:
