Hallandal Beach, Fla. – Arindel HomeBred EvolutionBack in Zuid -Florida After a disappointing trip to Saratoga last month for her debut in Stakes, her winning ways appears to be resuming in the Susan of $ 75,000 in Gulfstream Park.

The Sharp Susan for 2-year-old mares and proud man for 2-year-olds, each of whom sprints six furlongs on the main track, are the co-headliners on an 11-race program that starts at 12:50 pm Gulfstream’s Weekend of Live Racen starts on Friday with a nine racing program start on Friday with a program with nine racing hours

Evolution, trained by Carlos David, had an eventful run in the six Furlong Schuylerville July 4. She stumbled poorly at the start of her inner pole and then had to check sharply after having printed a quarter of miles for a quarter of miles and was eventually blown over the wire by Jockey Luis Saez.

“We just got bad luck. She jerked off a shoe as soon as she stumbled from the start and that was it,” said David. “It was not a good place from one hole. So we brought her back to Florida and regrouped with her and she did everything well. Her works are on point and this race is a bit logical for her.”

Evolution debuted on April 16 in Keeneland, a distant but decisive second behind Wesley Ward-Teached Spirit who went 4 ½ Furlongs. She returned to her home track for a Five Furlong Maiden Special Weight 15 May, and led every step under Jockey Edgard Zayas to win with 2 ¾ lengths as the favorite of the same man.

“Her first race in Keeneland behind one of Wesley’s babies, of course you have to send her a bit. With that race under her and being aggressive that day, it’s just going [carry over to her next race]”David said.” It was not the way the instructions were to go to the management. I just said to break well and see where she puts you. She finally went to the lead. I think she likes it. I have to see what it looks like on the day.

“She has to beat winners this time,” he added. “It didn’t go really well the last time, but she had an excuse there. I think she should be in order in this place. There is also a few that look good, so it should be interesting.”

Zayas gets the return call on the chestnut daughter of Broeders of Post 6 in a field of nine. Evolution was half a mile in 47.95 seconds July 26, fastest of 85 horses in Palm Meadows, Gulfstream’s satellite training facility in Palm Beach County in Palm Beach County in Palm Beach County.

“She worked well two back and then we delayed it for the last breeze,” said David. “She’s ready to roll.”

Wolf Pack Racing, Keith Johnston and Robert Murray’s Mo Hijinx, a debut winner on July 12 in Gulfstream for trainer Bobby Dibona, is a daughter of Caracaro bred by Indiana. Her father ran 2 once, graduated the second time in Gulfstream in his 3-year debut and finished second in both the Peter Pan (G3) and Travers (G1) before retired.

“It is great,” Diabona said. “I liked her the last time and she delivered. She is really nice. There are other nice horses in the race.”

Mo Hijinx, a granddaughter of champion Uncle Mo, picked up $ 92,000 as a 2-year-old in training in April. Her first timed work came in Gulfstream in mid -May and two months later she stalked and bounced for a three -quarters -long victory that six furlongs went.

“I chose her. I got a little criticism of buying a spoked by Indiana,” said Diabona. “I hoped to get her for a little less, but I just thought she had chosen phenomenally at the sale and when I looked at her, she just had the inputs for me. When I started training her, like the first day she got on the circuit, I could see the class.”

Miguel Vasquez, for her debut, receives the return call from post 2.

“He doesn’t speak much English, but he just said she’s spectacular. That’s a good word to know,” Diabos said. “These young horses, they take a lot to get out of the sale and then come to the main racing. There is much more activity and learning the routine and things like that.

“From the start when I hit her, I walked away with more confidence every time I worked her. In the run -up to the race I loved her,” he added. “I knew there were some difficult, but I knew well that she had trained for me. I hoped for a short field. I got a full field and a few expensive horses, but she was a game.”

Dakota’s Lil Auror, Tessellate, Willow Case and Victory Music also come from victories. Trainer Nolan Ramsey said Daughter Racing and 24one Road Racing’s Late Night text, second by a nose in debut and third as the favorite in the Texas Thoroughbred Association Futurity 5 July at Lone Star, would scratch for a first special weight Sunday in Ellis Park.

Trainer Patrick Biancone also indicated that he could wait for an upcoming Maiden spot for JSM Equine’s Haute Diva, second until Mo Hijinx 12 July from the outer post 11 at odds of 8-1.

“She ran a good race. She had a very bad draw, but she ended a very fast second and I was happy with that,” he said. “She’s a nice mandrowing.”

Maiden Filly Street Belle, fourth behind Mo Hijinx, completes the field.
