The procession of students who strike for a school without sexism started at 9.30 am from Largo Cairoli. This is the first demonstration of the two to be held in Milan on the occasion of the International Women’s Day, of the ‘Not One Less’ movement. “We want to live and free”, the motto of the walk that winds through the streets of the center of Milan, between pink smoke bombs and banners with the ‘never silent’ writings and ‘if I will not return tomorrow’.
The strike and the demonstrations, announced days ago, bring the theme of violence against women to the center. “On March 6 we take to the streets against a school and a sexist, racist world, omolesbotransfobic. For a transfeminist, anti -fascist and anti -racist world,” the organizers write. “We want to live and we want to free ourselves, outside the patriarchal logic of our society, free not to die, free to go out in the evening, free to feel safe”.
