Rockets’ fast turnout
The Houston Rockets shocked the NBA last season to jump from a 41-41 record in 2023-24 to a 52-30 finish in 2024-25. That increase ensured the second seed of the Western Conference, an important step forward in their rebuilding. Although they have a disappointing loss of the first round Playoff for the Golden State Warriors members, the campaign was considered a success. Head coach IME Udoka led one of the best defenses in the competition, while Center Alpen Sengun earned its first All-Star selection.
Out of season is now going to win

Tim Macmahon from ESPN explained the reasoning behind optimism:

Title hopes to grow
The play -off exit of the Rockets 2025 emphasized their lack of attacking firepower in Crunch time. Fred Vanvlet, who had an average of 14.1 points per match, wore a lot of the score tax. That will not be the case this year. The presence of Durant offers Houston a reliable closer, while the addition of more veterans should improve the overall balance.
