ESIC to reopen the registration for left-wing employees and unregistered employees to use medical benefits

Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) approved the release of Spree on Friday (scheme to promote the registration of employers/employees) from 1 July to 31 December 2025, and offers a one-off opportunity for unregistered employers and remaining employees to register for the ESI Act for medical benefits.

According to the scheme, employers who register during this period will be treated as covered from the date of registration or as explained by them, while new registered employees will be covered from their respective data of registration, the Ministry of Labor and the employment said after the decision was taken on 196one Meeting the Esic in Shimla.

The company has the Amnesty schedule approved-2025, a one-off dispute settlement from 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2026. It is offered with the aim of reducing the lawsuit and promoting compliance with the ESI Act, the ministry.

For the first time, disputes together with cases with damage and interest are included with regard to coverage. Regional directors are authorized to include cases where contributions and interest have been paid, and also to include matters that were submitted against insured persons more than five years ago, where no notifications were granted.

The company said that the Ministry also approved the proposal to delegate powers to the Director General, ESIC, to provide relaxation in submitting applications after the 12-month limit from the date of job loss under RGSSKY on the case of case.

The Esic nodded at the revised Ayush policy of the ESIC to concentrate on integrating traditional medical systems such as Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy in the Esic Healthcare Network. It marks a strategic move to improve the general medical services provided to ESIC beneficiaries, the ministry has informed.

A pilot project was also approved to improve the access of health care for ESI beneficiaries by working together with charity hospitals in disadvantaged areas. These hospitals will offer extensive services – from OPD to Emergency Care – for affordable, quality treatment, while ESIC’s mission on social security and well -being is being developed.

196one Meeting of the ESI Corporation was attended by Dola Sen, Rajya Sabha MP, NK Premachandra, Lok Sabha MP, Ashok Kumar Singh, director -general, ESIC, Chief Secretaries/Secretaries of the State Governments, Representatives of the Ministry of Employers, Employees and Senior of the Ministry.
