Erika Kirk was on “Fox News Sunday” with host Shannon Bream to talk about Charlie Kirk’s legacy and living out her faith as a Christian.

“I just think back to that day, the memorial. I’ve never seen anything like it,” Bream said.

“What did that day mean to you personally? Do you think that sparked something there? Or was it a continuation of the idea of revival?” Bram asked.

“It was a continuation. When Charlie was killed, that was the spark, but the memorial service amplified that spark. And the power of the Holy Spirit has been completely unleashed in a way that I don’t think any of us could have imagined,” Erika said.

“That’s a piece of heaven on earth that I will never see, you can’t even put it into words. It was so powerful,” Erika continued.

Bream asked Erika how she can actively live out her faith under such difficult circumstances after Charlie’s murder.

“It is one thing to memorize these verses: God is close to the brokenhearted, or he works all things for good to those who love him and are called according to his purpose,” Bream said.

“But life is something completely different and then you end up in a different way to experience those verses,” Bream continued.

“It’s interesting because I keep getting the same question. How can you forgive him? How can you forgive the man who killed your husband?” Erika said.

“The answer for me is very simple. You trust the Lord, and when you trust the Lord, you do it,” Erika said.

“Faith is so powerful when lived, but I don’t have a hugely in-depth answer. God is good, and the world is bad. Don’t be surprised if the world acts like the world,” Erika explained.

“How are your conversations going with him now about where you are?” Bram asked.

“With God? Honestly, they’re kind of the same. I never asked myself, why me? I always knew that my life wasn’t to be lived just for me. We’re here for such a bigger purpose, and Charlie and I both knew that. And that’s why Charlie built what he built,” Erika continued.

“I don’t want anything outside of God’s will,” Erika said.
