The Miami Heat 37-45 ended in 2024-25. It was their worst record since 2014-15. On the way to next season, Miami will have one of the youngest schedules in the NBA.
This week Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra was abroad to view one of his young players in Eurobasket. That was second -year Pro, Pelle Larsson. During the game, Spoelstra jumped on the broadcast to talk about Miami’s expectations before 2025-26. He specifically mentioned Larsson’s strong working ethics and believes that the young guard can take a step forward in the coming season.

With a second round pick in the NBA design of 2024, Pelle Larsson was selected by the rockers. However, he was traded on the heat on a trekking evening. Larsson played in 55 games and made eight starts for Miami in 2024-25. He on average 4.6 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists per match. Moreover, he was on average 14.2 minutes per match.
With a temporary employment team at Eurobasket, Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra shared his expectations for Pelle Larsson. Spolestra mentioned how Larsson started to “make a bigger role” at the end of the season. His career high as Rookie was 16 points. He did that twice, both in the last two months of the regular season.

The coaching staff of Erik Spolestra and Miami seem to have faith in Pelle Larsson for the 2025-26 season. There is a strong chance that he will be part of the second unit of the heat. Duncan Robinson separated this season with Miami. He fires more than 24 minutes of playing time outside the couch. If Pelle Larsson has a strong training camp, he could easily become the back -up shot guard.
The Swedish guard showed promising during his Rookie season and Miami has expectations in year two. Larsson flashed two -way options for the heat. The coaching staff of Miami has faith in Pelle Larsson. Can he raise his game in year two and be a legitimate roller of the bank? Erik Spoelstra certainly thinks he can.
