In a milestone movement to improve the athlete’s safety and administrative standards in the mixed martial arts of amateur, English MMA is proud to announce her official collaboration with Safe MMA. This collaboration applies to all affiliated events (amateur and professional) and marks an important step forward in coordinating amateur standards with those of professional sport.
Under this new initiative, all competing athletes must register with Safe MMA and meet annual medical examinations and blood test protocols. These measures reflect the standards set by the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (Immaf) And are designed to protect the health of the athlete, both during and outside the competition.
Safe MMA is generally recognized as a gold Standard in the Data Management of Athlete. The systems register and follow critical health statistics – including blood tests, eye exams and brain scans – for mixed martial arts. It also maintains an extensive concealing and medical suspension register, so that the organizers of events can be able to verify the medical approval of an athlete before they are linked to compete.
“This partnership gives amateur Emma-Affiliated MMA in England, something that it has never had before: a centralized system for monitoring, managing and teaching concussions and medical suspensions, ”says Paul Reed for Engels Mma. “It’s not just about compliance with care, recovery and long-term well-being.”
Athletes marked in the Register received tailor -made educational means and support to help their recovery and ensure a safe return to competition. Those who are familiar with the IMMAF route will recognize these protocols as standard practice, and English MMA wants to roll them out over all British amateur events.
English MMA is already working closely with clubs, athletes and organizers of events that have embraced this initiative. The organization invites others to participate in a new benchmark for safety, transparency and professionalism in amateur MMA.
