England sends records that tumble while Phil Salt 141 gets in team score of 304 in T20

England reached 300 for the first time in a T20, because the record-breaking 141 from Phil Salt did not bore to 304 for two in their attempt to level their three-match series against South Africa.

Salt’s 119 substantiated the previous best score of England of 267 for three in Trinidad in December 2023 and the Big-Hitting Opener was again central to his home field of Emirates Old Trafford.

He was fired for a golden duck and dropped a catch in a series opener struck by rain when England fell 1-0 in Cardiff on Wednesday, but Salt bounced back in style in a beautiful 60-ball knock with 15 four and eight sixes.

His fourth T20 ton came from 39 deliveries and was the fastest in any size by an English Slagman-de 42-Ballinings by Liam Livingstone relegation against Pakistan in Trent Bridge in 2021 to second place.

Jos Butler initially turbulated the innings of England with 83 discount on only 30 balls in a 126-run position with salt from just 7.5 overs while Jacob Bethell (26) and captain Harry Brook (41NO) made fine cameets.

All six bowlers of South Africa had an economy in double digits, with Lizaad Williams 62 leaking from three overs, while the left arm spinner Bjorn Fortuin was the only one who struck, stringing buttler and Bethell to catch the depth.
