Hugo Ekitike believes that the presence of Alexander Isak will help his development while the young striker welcomed the increased competition in Liverpool.
The Premier League champions of Arne Slot made waves in the summer transfer window, where the 23-year-old follows people like Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez to Anfield.
Ekitike joined Frankfurt in a deal with a value of £ 69 million plus a potential £ 10 million in add-ons and has hit the ground and scored five goals in his first 10 performances in all competitions.
But Liverpool kept a strong interest in Newcastle Sharpshooter Isak throughout the summer and received their husband for a British record £ 125 million on Deadline Day.
“I think it’s good with players in such a big club,” said Ekitike. “I don’t see a big club playing with just one striker, so I think it’s good that he is here.
“Even for me at my age, I think I have to improve and learn many things, so for me it is good that he is here.
“(As far as we can play together) That is for the coach to decide how he wants to play. I am not.
“But it is clear that they are great players, I play in two-strikers composition, One-Striker … so I can do a lot of things. If we have to play together, I can do that.”
Ekitike seems to be sure of life in Liverpool, with whom he became a member, despite interest from people such as Manchester United and Newcastle.
“It was just the best choice,” he said. “You know, it’s the champions of England.
“For me they have great players, a great history. It is just equipped with what I was looking for after Frankfurt.”
Ekitike spoke about the eve of the Champions League match of Liverpool in Galatasaray, where the young striker stands in line to make his first appearance since the embarrassing broadcast last Tuesday.
The Frenchman replaced Isak during the rest of the Carabao Cup collision against Southampton and then scored a late winner, removed his shirt and kept it in the cameras in celebration.
But the replacement had already been booked and collected which slot called a “stupid” red card that ruled him out of the 2-1 loss on Saturday in Crystal Palace.

“I think that wasn’t smart,” said Ekitike. “Of course I only punished myself, I would say.
“I felt a bit disappointed to view the boys from home last Saturday, but, as I said (on Instagram), my apologies to everyone already, to my teammates.
“Things like that will not happen anymore. I will just continue. I just look forward to playing and I just concentrate on football.”
Ekitike will hope to make up for in Istanbul, where Liverpool arrived without Federico Chiesa because of some ending a “small lump”.
The Liverpool boss did not want to take any risks with the journey from Saturday to Chelsea coming up a competition that he hopes to go into the back of a moral reinforcement of the victory against Galatasaray.
“I think we should always do – regardless of whether you win, lose or draw – what is asked of you if you want to compete for trophies, but let alone when you wear a Liverpool shirt,” Slot said.
“That gives everything you have and that combines that with the best football you can play.
“We have made more opportunities in the course of the game than we had in all three matches we played against Palace before, but we also admitted many more opportunities than before.
“So we can improve, and the things we can improve, I will show the players tonight.”
