Guildford Flames kick off the action at 6pm as they host Fife Flyers. It’s a big weekend for the Flyers, who also face Dundee on Sunday, as they look to close the gap on the play-off places. Such is the importance of the trip that Fife’s new ownership group has opted to fly the team south and back rather than travel by bus. Guildford were beaten in extra time by Coventry last week but have the chance to put that right this weekend with two home games as they remain mid-pack.
At 7pm in Belfast, the Giants and Sheffield Steelers will resume hostilities in part two of their weekend double-header at the SSE Arena.
Cardiff Devils welcome Manchester Storm to the Vindico Arena, a week after the Storm won 2-1 at Altrincham. The meetings between the sides this season have all been tight affairs, each decided by no more than two goals.
In Dundee, the Stars host Coventry Blaze in the reverse order of last Friday’s match. That evening, Dundee came back from 3–0 down to claim an extra-time victory and move within a point of the Blaze in the play-off race. As that battle continues, neither side can afford to give up ground in this crucial match.
