Bloemendaal took the momentum in the EHL week of the Dutch topper when she let SV Kampong beat 5-4 in the men’s head class.
Elian Mazkour was the hero with a rising rocket in the upper corner in which the sparrows won an roller coaster match in which they chased three times.
The victory moves Bloemendaal to second place, one point of Rotterdam after five rounds competitions, built up in their date with Irish Side Banbridge in the EHL Men KO16 next Saturday.
For Kampong it continues their difficult start of the season, so that they have picked up only five points and are in ninth place in general. Their next port is a fight with Real Club de Polo next Saturday in Barcelona.
Floris Wortelboer opened the score after six minutes when he clambered in from the right basic line, but a few goals from Duco Telgenkamp exchanged the management.
Jonas de Geus and Finn Bijnen kept the Utrecht at the front to go into the last seven minutes, but a Teunborige Hoek has made it tied and then Mazkour produced his magic for a cracking victory.
Elsewhere, Rotterdam is at the forefront after a thunderous 9-0 win over Hurley, while AH & BC Amsterdam, Oranje Rood and Pinoké are in third place on 11 points.
Amsterdam defeated Laren 9-0 while Pinoké was caught too late by Den Bosch, 3-3, despite leading 3-1 victory for three minutes. Oranje-Rood was also left frustrated when she admitted at the last minute to draw 1-1 with Klein Switzerland.
