I used to make my own bone broth and marinara sauces all the time, but that was because there weren’t any good store-bought options. Easy Ossobuco

Prevent your screen from going dark

  • Season the shanks with salt and pepper. Place the onion pieces in a 4-quart slow cooker. Place the tied shanks on the onions. Add the Primal Kitchen Marinara, stock and vinegar. Make sure the liquid reaches three-quarters of the way up the sides of the shanks. Add more stock if necessary.

  • Cover and cook over low heat until the meat is tender, about 6 hours. Carefully remove the shanks and place them on a serving plate. Pour the liquid from the pot over the shanks and serve.

  • Store extras in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 6 days. To reheat, place a shank in a cast-iron skillet with a cup of leftover sauce. Place in a 350 degree F oven for 5-10 minutes or until heated through.
