Tonight’s EastEnders finally sheds light on Jasmine Fisher’s (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) true intentions in Walford, and the answer isn’t the one most viewers expected. While Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) and Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) have been busy figuring out Jasmine’s connection to them, it turns out she has her sights set on someone completely different, and her actions during the episode suggest she’s playing a much deeper game than anyone realized.
The episode opens with Jasmine lingering in the square, keeping a close eye on Anthony Trueman from a distance. Cindy sees Jasmine standing alone and wastes no time wandering around, reminding her not to just “hang out on street corners.” Jasmine quickly brushes it off and claims she’s just waiting for Oscar.
Cindy then goes to Anthony, hoping to get her doctor’s appointment. But Anthony, who looks somewhat stressed, has news of his own; the operation is flooded, forcing him to cancel that day’s appointments. With an unexpected day off ahead of him, he decides that the best solution is to have a drink with Patrick.
Meanwhile, Jasmine finds Oscar at the fruit stand and immediately questions him about Anthony. Her questions are a little too pointed to be casual, but Oscar doesn’t pick up on it. Instead, he comes to the conclusion that Jasmine is in love with the doctor. He teases her about it, while being a little jealous.

It’s only later, when Jasmine and Oscar see Anthony and Patrick at The Albert, that things start to feel a little strange. Anthony remains friendly and relaxed, enjoying the surprising time off, and Jasmine chats casually with the couple. Oscar gets out and informs Jasmine that he will wait until she is ready, leaving Jasmine alone with Anthony long enough for her to offer him a mocktail ‘on the house’. Anthony cheerfully goes to the bar to place the order.
As soon as his back is turned, Jasmine’s attitude changes. Her attention goes straight to Anthony’s jacket and within seconds she is searching his pockets. What seems like casual friendliness suddenly becomes something much more calculated when she slips his operating keys into her hand.
Suddenly Oscar appears again and catches her red-handed. Completely upset, he asks her what she is doing. Jasmine, realizing she’s overwhelmed, quickly makes an excuse about needing some space for the two of them. Oscar seems confused, but not suspicious enough to push back, and before he knows it, he’s following her out of The Albert.
Jasmine leads Oscar straight to the now empty doctor’s office and uses Anthony’s keys to let them both in. Oscar is clearly nervous and not sure why they are there or what Jasmine is really up to. She distracts him with vague explanations about wanting to have some alone time together, and Oscar is happy that she turns her attention back to him.

Once Oscar leaves, confused and unsure what to make of the whole situation, Jasmine returns. She sneaks in alone and makes sure there are no witnesses. Once she’s inside, she heads straight to Anthony’s computer, but what is she looking for?
Now that Jasmine is alone in a doctor’s office, looking through Anthony’s files, the question is no longer how she got in, but why she went to so much trouble to access the doctor’s private information.
While the audience still doesn’t know exactly what she’s looking for or what her connection to Anthony might be, Jasmine’s mask slowly begins to slip. Is she still looking for information about Cindy? But whatever she wants, she seems willing to lie, manipulate, and break the law to get it.
