Early Look of 2026 Dynasty Rookie: Kenyon Sadiq, TE Oregon – Dynasty League Football

The rookie tight end class of 2025 has spoiled us. Both Tyler Warren and Harold Fannin Jr started hot. Colston Loveland’s brilliant finish to the season will send his ADP into the stratosphere. Oronde Gadsden II lit the league on fire for a month and while the overall numbers were modest, we saw glimpses of Terrance Ferguson, Mason Taylor and Elijah Arroyo. Even Gunnar Helm figured in as a viable TE2 for dynasty rosters.

2026 will not bless us with the same depth. However, it has a clear standout at the top of the rankings in Oregon’s Kenyon Sadiq. Sadiq was a highly touted prospect when he played for the Rams’ 2025 second-round pick in Terrance Ferguson, and he used 2025 to cement himself as a top talent.

At 6-foot-4 and 245 pounds, Sadiq is built like a wide receiver looking to make the most of his gym membership and his run after the catch skills would be among the best at the position he was currently in the NFL. He gets after it as a blocker and has the tools to contribute on all three downs. Oregon is quietly becoming a cash-strapped factory, with Sadiq perhaps the best prospect at the position.

Recruitment

Idaho and tight ends: That’s what it’s called now. After drafting Colston Loveland in the first round in 2025, the Gem State is set to go back-to-back at the position Thursday night in April.

Sadiq almost followed Loveland to Michigan. Instead of – despite not placing the Ducks in his final three schools – he committed to Oregon as one of the best athletes in the country, according to the designation of 247.

Sadiq received offers from all over the country, but always seemed destined to stay in the Midwest or Northwest. The surprise for Dan Lanning and company has been a huge recruiting victory, as Sadiq has become a crucial part of the Ducks’ back-to-back College Football Playoff appearances.

Sadiq showed great growth in each of his three seasons on campus. His production is made even more impressive by the intended competition he faced. In 2024, he shared the court with future draft pick Tez Johnson, former five-star recruit Evan Stewart and the productive Traeshon Holden, in addition to the aforementioned Ferguson. In 2025, the Ducks brought in a host of transfer receivers who made an immediate impact, along with true freshman Dakorien Moore, a dynamic freshman and top prospect for 2028. He also had to work with another future NFL tight end in Jamari Johnson. Sadiq was still an impact player every week and became a familiar target for Dante Moore.

Assuming Sadiq goes into the draft – which seems highly likely but hasn’t been made official yet – he will leave Oregon as one of the best they’ve ever had in the position, and a catalyst for their rise as a national power.

Strengths

  • Yards after catching power
  • Physically as a receiver and blocker
  • Uses my arm training routine
  • Speed to threaten the seam

Weaknesses

  • Frame a touch on the small side for an NFL tight end
  • Was able to refine his running route

Sadiq has remained steady as a first-round prospect all season. He should test very well, has the production to back up his skills and works hard in all phases of the game. If Sadiq wanted to slide far, there would have to be a red flag in his medical records or his interviews. The Panthers have been a hot matchup, but Sadiq will have a lot of candidates once we get outside the top ten.

Dynasty prospects

The first installment of DLF’s Rookie Rankings has Sadiq ranked sixth overall, a clear TE1 in the class. For tight ends, it can be difficult to command first-round rookie capital in non-premium formats, but Sadiq is one of the best playmakers of this draft and we’ve seen young tight ends come in and make their mark sooner than ever. We no longer have the classic redshirt year at the position.

We welcomed many tight ends to the ranks of the TE1 dynasty this year. The aforementioned Loveland, Warren and Fannin Jr, and Gadsden II all joined the Top 12 in DLF’s December Startup ADP. Tucker Kraft was soaring before his year was cut short by a knee injury and Kyle Pitts proved you’re never wrong, you’re just too early. Sadiq is the next young tight end that will crash the game and I will easily be able to aggressively rank him once we get a handle on his draft capital and landing spot.
