Monday Night Football in Week 14 of the 2025 NFL season is a showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Chargers in LA. Although both teams are 8-4, everything is not perfect for either team. Philadelphia is on a two-game losing streak, while Los Angeles is two games behind Denver in the AFC West.
Let’s take a look at my Eagles vs. Chargers.
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Los Angeles Chargers odds
Moneyline: Eagles -140 / Chargers +120
Spread: Eagles -2.5 (-110) / Chargers +2.5 (-110)
Total: Over 41.5 (-110) / Under 41.5 (-110)
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Los Angeles Chargers Best Bet No. 1: Chargers +2.5 (-110)
We’ve seen this story before with the Eagles. Yes, they won the Super Bowl last season, but the 2023 campaign was a total disaster down the stretch. That level will not (yet) be reached in 2025, but the parallels are starting to emerge. Philadelphia has lost two games in a row and the offense has been woeful for some time. Prior to this current skid, the Eagles scored a total of 26 points in ugly wins over the Packers and Lions. Quarterback Jalen Hurts is struggling to throw the ball down the field, AJ Brown remains unhappy and Saquon Barkley just isn’t the Saquon of 2024.
The Chargers have addressed their own issues on offense, but the offensive line is getting healthier, Justin Herbert (hand injury on his non-throwing side) should be good to go, and rookie running back Omarion Hampton is back for the first time since Week 5. Hampton and company will face an Eagles defense that was abused by the Bears’ running game on Black Friday. Chicago rushed for 281 yards and amassed 425 total yards of offense during a 24-15 win in Philly. If they play a home game against a tough opponent three time zones away, the Bolts have a good chance of winning it outright.
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Los Angeles Chargers best bet on player: Omarion Hampton scores a touchdown (+170)
Hampton is finally back from his ankle injury and will play for the first time since Week 5. Before he was injured, the 2025 first-round pick had 66 carries for 314 yards and two touchdowns, while also amassing 136 receiving yards.
He has every reason to pick up where he left off, given his favorable showing on Monday Night Football. Philly’s defense hasn’t been great all year and was especially bad against Chicago in Week 13. The Eagles have given up fourteen rushing touchdowns in 2025 – even more than their opponents’ twelve passing touchdowns. Chargers RB2 Kimani Vidal will likely get a decent amount of touches as Hampton works his way back into the play action, but Vidal is certainly not a goal-line type running back. I expect Hampton to be featured as Los Angeles approaches the end zone. +170 is of great value.
