Dynasty Perspective by Fantasy Points Per Game: Quarterbacks – Dynasty League Football

The dynasty world can be an optical illusion, where not everything is as it seems. On the surface you can see the landscape, but if you look deeper you can discover a new meaning, a different perspective. In this four-part series, I uncover real insights from the dynasty world – through the contrast between total fantasy points scored and fantasy points per game (FPPG) in 2025.

FPPG is the key to understanding a player’s true performance. Why would we consider annual totals when we play a weekly game? Focusing purely on overall output misses important information, such as missed games due to injury, which can skew the outlook based on random events. Focusing on FPPG compares players on a level playing field, game versus game, to truly identify the effectiveness of their fantasies.

The first article in the series focuses on quarterbacks, comparing total production to 2025 weekly production (excluding Week 18).

Jaxson Dart, QB NYG

  • QB16 Overall (219.2 fantasy points)
  • QB14 in FPPG (16.9 fantasy points)

First, I want to address one of the less obvious discrepancies between overall fantasy output and FPPG. 2025 rookie quarterback Dart was solid as the QB14 in FPPG, slightly better than his overall QB16 performance, but if you remove two games where he played less than 5% of snaps early in the season, his FPPG skyrockets to QB6 (19.9 FPPG). The impressive output was complemented by excellent rushing production, with Dart being the QB2 overall in rushing yards per game (41.4) and his 0.81 rushing touchdowns per game ratio being right up there with Josh Allen’s QB1 overall (0.88 per game).

In his 11 games as a starter, Dart has been consistent and productive, showing his elite ceiling with four games in the top four, seven games as a QB1 and just one game outside the QB2 numbers against an impressive Vikings defense. Given the context and situation, Dart’s rookie production was excellent: playing without superstar wide receiver Malik Nabers, his main weapon being small receiver Wan’Dale Robinson and the firing of head coach Brian Daboll midway through the season. Dart also played just three games with exciting running back Cam Skattebo, making his performance even more impressive.
