Dynasty Fantasy Football Trade Watch: Buy/Sell/Hold Week 4 | Play -profile

We are only three weeks in the season, and already one of my Dynasty Kanshebbers has been absolutely destroyed by injuries. Jayden Reed goes in week 2. Good, I will just connect a new flex while he is recovering. Then Joe Burrow is wounded, who fills my Tee Higgins production. I also say goodbye to Aaron Jones and Austin Ekeler, so I leave almost nothing at RB outside Jahmyr Gibbs.

Week 3 rolls around and I lose Mike Evans for what looks two to four weeks. To finish it, Terry McLaurin fights a quad injury that brings him offside at least this week.

Now I stare at a week 4 line-up with Woody Marks, Ollie Gordon II and Harold Fannin Jr. … while I’m 1-2.

Dynasty Fantasy Football Trade Advice Week 4

Koop: WRS Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter, Jacksonville Jaguars

These two have a Shane Waldron problem.

See if you can see the pattern here:

  • 2018-2020: Waldron is the passing game coordinator for the Rams. He leaves, and in 2021, Cooper Kupp wins the Triple Crown, with 145 catches for 1,947 Yards and 16 Touchdowns.
  • 2021-2023: Waldron is the attacking coordinator for the Seahawks. In 2020, DK Metcalf had 1,303 yards. He on average 1,043 meters while Waldron was there. Waldron leaves, and in 2024 Jaxon Smith-Njigba explodes with 100 receptions for 1,130 yards in year 2. This season, JSN already has 402 Yards in four games.
  • 2024: Waldron is the OC for the bears. He leaves, and now Rome Odunze breaks out in his second year, with 227 Yards and a leading four TDs through three games.

Waldron is a broad terrorist. And now, as the passing game coordinator in Jacksonville, he conceives the production and value of not one, but two young, talented broad recipients.

Brian Thomas Jr., a pick in the first round in 2024, is a rough start. He only has seven catches on 25 goals for 115 yards, with only one garden after the catch (WR118). This is on the heels of a Rookie campaign where he caught 87 balls for 1,282 and 10 TDs.

Brian Thomas Jr.’s advanced statistics

However, his struggles are not all on Waldron. BTJ has tackled a wrist injury and has led to some unusual drops. He and Quarterback Trevor Lawrence have not yet connected deeply – Lawrence is zero for five in 20+ meters to Thomas JR so far. There seems to be no zero chemistry between the two, but that will have to change if Jacksonville wants to be successful.

There are still reasons to be optimistic: Thomas Jr. Ranks WR1 in non -realized Air Windows (199) and WR12 in expected fantasy points per game (17.7), strong indicators that are an outbreak on the horizon.

In the meantime, Travis Hunter has just been selected no. 2 in the April design, but the Jaguars leaned early on his two-way capacity, the last two games were used more than attack. He adjusts to play WR at the pro level, but the figures are underwhelming: 10 catches for 76 scoreless yards.

The good news? He separates himself from coverage. Hunter ranks WR6 in target separation (2,43 yards), which shows that he can open consistently. The rest of his efficiency statistics are faint for the time being, but that is expected for a Rookie splitting time between rolls.

Travis Hunter’s Efficiency Metrics

This is a classic buy-low window. As soon as the attack starts to click whether Waldron has disappeared (hopefully rather instead of later), Thomas Jr. And shine through Hunter’s talent. If you can now acquire one of them for less than full value, do it. Managers are perhaps more frustrated by the slow start than you realize. Start low and start from there.

Koop: RB Woody Marks, Houston Texans

The tide seems to be turning in Houston’s backfield. Sitting at 0-3 with the season already slips away, the Texans seem to be a trending in the direction of a real committee approach.

This is how the use of Woody Marks has grown every week:

  • Week 1: 11% snaps, three wears, three meters
  • Week 2: 27% snaps, three wears, one catch, 51 total yards
  • Week 3: 48% Snaps, six wears, one catch, 36 total yards

Marks apparently removed the RB2 role from Dare Ogunbowale and now eats in the workload of Nick Chubb.

Advanced statistics from Woody Marks

In this phase of his career, Chubb is what he is an early mill. Marks, who have imprisoned 201-passes at the university, offers more explosiveness and playing ability as a target from the Achterveld.

If Marks continues to produce, it is not wild to think that he can start earning double digits every week. The Texans have scored a pathetic 38 points by three games, so they need a shock in their attack. Getting the ball in the hands of their talented Rookie RB can help.

The value of Marks is now difficult. I don’t think he’s worth a pick of the second round, but I don’t think you get it for a third. See if you can land as a throw-in as part of a larger dynasty fantasy football trade before his role grows further and his price rises.

Sales: Wr Tyquan Thornton, Chiefs of Kansas City

The waste from one team is the treasure of the other team. I think that is how the saying goes.

After he flew in the terrible WR room of New England, Tyquan Thornton has found new life in Kansas City and makes the best of his chance. Thornton has already surpassed his combined Yardage from 2023 and 2024 and has emerged as Patrick Mahomes, the preferred Deep-Ball threat, with nine receptions for 171 yards and two touchdowns.

Tyquan Thornton’s advanced statistics

The Speedster of Baylor currently scores:

  • #1 in adot (31.6)
  • #1 in deep goals (seven)
  • #2 in recruiting by reception (19.0)
  • #3 In Air Windows (284)
  • #5 in Air Yards Share (49%)

However, the good times can end soon. Xavier Worthy returns from his shoulder injury this week. The Chiefs want their first round of 2024 back in the rhythm because he was a starter before he went down.

Moreover, the suspension of Rashee Rice only has three games left. As soon as he is able to play, rice figures become in a full -time role. As soon as those two boys are back in the line – up, there seems to be not much opportunity for Thornton – unless he takes over the snaps from Hollywood Brown.

If another manager is hyped by the fast start of Thornton, this is a good time to sell. A third-rounder straight up is fine, but Ideally try to pack Thornton with a third to go to someone’s second.

Hold: RB Breece Hall, New York Jets

Look, I get it. It has been ugly since the season opener when Breece Hall bound the Steelers a total of 145 yards. Since then he has managed only 90 combined yards in the two games. But a reason for optimism: the jets were blown out by the accounts in week 2, completely abandoned, and last week they stood opposite the Buccaneers, one of the most toughly run defenses in the competition.

Better days are ahead. The next matchup of Hall is against the dolphins and their sad run defense, which ranks #28, so that recruiting 145 hurrying is per game. He then pulls the cowboys, which are in total defense at #30.

Advanced Breece Hall statistics

Advanced Breece Hall statistics

Although it only has an average of 10.5 fantasy ppg, Hall still gets the kind of use you want for fantasy success. He has a target share of 16.9% (RB6) and a 1.77 yards per route -Run Mark (RB8). Hall is also in third place in escape runs, with four Totes of 15-plus meter.

Hall has been the subject of trade rumors, and those whispers will only get louder if the jets continue to lose. But fantasy managers don’t have to follow. Keep Hall for now, and hope that these upcoming matchups will pop up a few large games to increase both his production and commercial value.
