This year, duPont REGISTRY, the source for supercars since 1985, celebrates its 40th anniversary. During that time, some of the world’s most desirable, iconic and influential luxury and exotic cars have graced the covers of our magazine over the past 40 years, and together the cover cars of duPont REGISTRY’s hundreds of monthly issues tell a story of automotive history and its evolution since the 1980s.
Looking back at duPont REGISTRY’s 2020 cover cars, recent memory highlights some moments from automotive history that will undoubtedly soon be remembered as iconic and impactful. 2020 was a unique year for the entire world and brought with it a pandemic that challenged the world, but that did not stop the automotive industry from making great progress, and DuPont REGISTRY from presenting them. January – Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado
Two custom trucks graced our January 2020 cover, a Harley Davidson Ford F-150and a Black Ops Chevrolet Silverado.
February – Marshall Goldman Inventory
Our February 2020 cover spotlighted some of the best cars from the extensive inventory Marshall Goldmanincluding the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster, the McLaren P1, the Porsche Carrera GT, the Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition and many more.
March – Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta, Porsche 918 Spyder, Pagani Huayra Roadster
Three open-top hypercar heroes together graced our March 2020 cover: the Ferrari LaFerrari Apertathe Porsche 918 Spyderand the Payani Huayra Roadster.
April – Rolls-Royce Cullinan Mansory Widebody
A modified, wide version of the iconic Rolls Royce Cullinanthe pinnacle of ultra-luxury SUVs, from Mansory, was the cover star of our April 2020 issue.
May – Porsche 911 GT3 Cup PCA Edition, Porsche 718 Cayman Clubsport
Three racing Porsches were together the cover stars of our May 2020 issue: two years of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup PCA Edition and the 2020 Porsche 718 Cayman Clubsport.
June – Chevrolet Corvette C8 Hennessey
The C8 Corvette was a groundbreaking addition to the Corvette’s legacy as an all-American performance car, with a mid-engine layout that finally catapulted it to supercar status. Hennessey’s anticipated take on it was the cover star of our June 2020 issue.
July – SVE 1050 hp Yenko Camaro Stage II, SVE 750 hp GMC Syclone
In July 2020, two more SVE creations graced our cover: this time the Student with a Stage II 1,050 hp, and the GMC Syclone, with 750 hp.
August – Lexus LC 500 Convertible
From Lexus LC500 The flagship Grand Tourer got even better when its open-top counterpart arrived, showcased in all its glory on the sunny cover of our August 2020 magazine.
September – Drako GTE
Drako Motors is known for its ambitious and incredibly powerful all-electric models, including the 1,200 hp quad-motor GTE that featured on our September 2020 cover. That was unfathomable at the time, but since then many manufacturers have entered the market with electric cars with more than 1,000 hp.
October – Ferrari 250 SWB GTO Engineering
This beautiful classic Ferrarithe 250 SWB from GTO Engineering, was the cover star of our October 2020 issue.
November – Maserati MC20
New at the time of its appearance on our November 2020 cover, the Maserati MC20 has now become a celebrated flagship of the historic brand. He proudly burst onto the scene with the Trident as Maserati’s new performance hero, which featured the Nettuno V6 engine for the first time and was the successor to the legendary MC12.
December – Mercedes-Benz G-Class BRABUS 800
With a BRABUS boat placed behind it on our December 2020 cover, we let the BRABUS approach to an enviable, exciting luxury lifestyle with its bespoke SUV based on the G-Class.
