The Duleep Trophy 2025 is not too far away and East Zone has already mentioned his team for the upcoming Red-Ball Tournament. The Zonal Selection Committee has appointed Star Wicketkeeper-Batter Ishan Kishan As the captain of the team, while ACE Batter ABHIMANYU EASWARAN has been picked as his deputy.
The bowling attack of East Zone currently has some of the best names at the Indian pace attack. The biggest recording in the list is Mohammed Shami, who will make a comeback to Red-Ball Cricket after a while. Shami will also have Mukesh Kumar and Akash Deep to complete the Bengal Troika of Speedsters.
Assam Captain and Star All-Rounder Riyan Parag has also been admitted to prove his courage in the red Ball Cricket. He was also chosen in the previous season and had shown a decent promise, at least with the bat, in the middle order.
East Zone plays their opening match of the Elite Tournament against North Zone. This will be the first quarter -final meeting and will be played between 28 and 31 August in a four -day fixture at the BCCI Center of Excellence Ground in Bengaluru. If Kishan leads his troops to a victory, they will continue to play the semi-final against a strong South Zone team, led by Tilak Varma stargling.
