A reckless driver who struck and killed a man reportedly filmed a TikTok while behind the wheel.

Authorities continue to investigate a 43-year-old woman, who goes by Tea Tyme on TikTok, who allegedly killed the man while driving through a suburb of Zion, Illinois. According to The Guardianthe alleged video shows the alleged woman driving the vehicle as listeners suddenly heard a thud. Another TikTok account released a screen capture of the alleged clip.

She responded to the sound by saying, “F-ck, f-ck, f-ck… I just hit someone.”

The livestream stopped soon after the revelation, with a child also heard asking what happened.

First responders arrived at the scene Nov. 3 and identified it as an accident involving a pedestrian. The woman remained at the scene to talk to police.

The victim, 59-year-old Darren Lucas, was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. A coroner confirmed his death was the result of blunt force injuries sustained in the crash. His family told the Scanner they will also pray for the driver and her emotional state after the accident.

“We … will continue to pray for what the driver is going through,” Lucas’ son-in-law Chris King said. “We’re trying to find our way of life without someone we loved so much.”
