“We are ready to mobilize American soldiers to support DHS activities in Portland in the direction of the president. The department will provide information and updates as soon as they become available,” says Sean Parnell, a Pentagon spokesperson.
Asked about the decision of Portland on Saturday, said spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin of the Ministry of Domestic Security that ice officers had to be protected in the midst of protests against immigration raids.
“We are not going to tolerate it. This administration does not play games,” she said in an interview on Fox News.
