I’m going to come out and tell you that I’ve never had a better start to September than this one. Yes, as I complete my one-year journey with blogging, the DomainFest Asia event became the perfect ending to it. That’s why I’m here to reveal the sneak-peeks of my first trip abroad! DOMAINfest Asia was the brainchild of the co-founder and producer of DOMAINfest/Namescon Jonathan FrakesDotAsia
CEO of the organization Edmon Chung and CEO of Allegravita Simon Neven.
DomainFest Asia 2015 was a glimpse into the infinite potential of the domain industry and how it has helped and can help countless business people around the world build successful businesses. I myself was so inspired by my conversations and interviews with these experts who have created their own markets and loyal followers based on the premium and innovative quality of their services. For me DomainFest was one of the life changing experiences and I learned many things in domain management from the speakers and domainers present. You must attend these events to gain domaining knowledge and know how domaining can be a profitable business. But remember that it takes a lot of hard work to become a big domain player in the market.

What is DomainFest Asia?
It is an annual event that takes place in luxurious locations throughout Asia. This year it took place on September 4e to the 7e at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Macau. It calls on international domain marketers, online enthusiasts and careerists to come together and discuss many important aspects of the domaining and online industry, such as market trends, future forecasts, training sessions and much more. Great entrepreneurs and business people come together to brainstorm breakthrough ideas.

According to my experience, it is a nurturing environment for young entrepreneurs like us!
I had been planning this trip for two months and finally the day came that I boarded a plane to Macau with my friends and colleagues. It was a special moment for me because it was my first trip abroad. I felt a sense of pride because, in my own words, I had accomplished something substantial!
As soon as we landed, I knew from the view outside that the total experience would be exhilarating.

The event started with a grand opening at the Hyatt. It was sponsored by leading companies such as .club, igloo, 4.cn and many more. The day included many training sessions and workshops where we learned a lot about the domain sector and its potential in the current .com boom.

We met successful business people like Jothan Frakes, the co-producer of NamesCon, another massive annual Domaining event, Greg Tripleg and Michael Flippone. These guys told me a lot about the industry, I learned a lot from them and will be sharing their interviews and related articles soon!

The evenings and nights meant fun. I increasingly saw how successful business people maintain a near-perfect work-life balance. That’s it! I surrendered to my own strength and participated in the riots with full enthusiasm.

We’ve done it all, from taking boat rides, riding in hummer limos, to losing some money at the casino. It was fun! The excellent food that complemented these gatherings was just the icing on a very large and sumptuous cake.

DomainFest Asia was a wonderful experience. The one thing I learned from it is that your business goal should be to get to the point where business is fun! In short, I can say that we had a lot of fun and learned a lot. All in all, I left Macau in a good mood, having learned many new tricks of the trade and connecting with a dynamic group of people.

Over to you
In the near future I will be launching and posting many intricate details about what I have learned and how I will use it in the form of posts, interviews and videos.
Also if you want to look further, DOMAINfest Asia has already announced a return of Domainfest for 2016. That show will take place in Hong Kong from September 19 to 22, 2016, the location has yet to be announced. I am sure this will be super exciting and this time it will bring top domain leaders in the industry under one roof.
Stay tuned for updates!
The platform is completely ready and so am I
