Will Dodgers Comedy Night disrupt the regular season?

In each of the previous two episodes of Dodgers Comedy Night, the event took place after a day game. This year, the Dodgers will not play a game on the day of the event and will then be well rested for their seven-game home stretch against the Atlanta Braves and San Francisco Giants.

Is Will Smith still the Dodgers’ starting catcher?

Smith will be playing in his eighth MLB season in 2026 and has become one of the most successful catchers in the game in recent seasons.

He had made three consecutive All-Star Games, earned a starting spot in 2025 and received MVP votes for the first time in his career last season. His .901 OPS last year was the best he’s ever had during a season in which he’s played more than 100 games, and his .296 batting average shattered his previous record.

The catcher is a shoe-in for the starting spot for the Dodgers and has cemented his status among the best catchers in baseball.

The Dodgers hope he can keep his production up in 2026 as they hunt for the franchise’s first three-peat. Smith will play a big role in their campaign and will look to have another season similar to his stellar year in 2025.
