Dodgers Right -handed Roki Sasaki has been set up to come back to the team on Wednesday. He is expected to be activated from the 60-day IL after more than four months to be missed with a shoulder decision. Sasaki will work from De Bullpen, manager Dave Roberts told reporters (including Sonja Chen from MLB.com). Los Angeles already has an open 40-man schedule after waiting Chuckie Robinson During the weekend they only have to make an active schedule.
Sasaki hit the IL on 9 May with the shoulder problem. He made seven performances on his rehabilitation assignment and placed an ERA of 6.10 over 20 2/3 innings with Triple-a Oklahoma City. Sasaki initially worked as a starter during his Minor League stint, but appeared in relief in his last two trips. He threw a few scoreless, Hitless Innings as a Reliever and noted three strikeouts.

Sasaki had almost as many walks (22) as Strikeouts (24) over 34 1/3 innings. His enormous running speed of 14.3% is more than double his worst season with the Chiba Lotte Marines (7.1% in 2024). The shoulder injury could have influenced the order of Sasaki, although the 13.7% BB% does not suggest much improvement during its rehabilitation assignment.
Sasaki has five days to plead his plea for the postseason selection. Los Angeles could certainly use another feasible option in the bull pen. The Dodgers are in 20th place in the Bullpen era of the season and they slipped to 25 in September. Michael Kopech Is back on the il, this time with knee inflammation. Tanner Scott Has an ERA of 7.27 and a few inflated saves since they returned from an elbow injury. Blake trains On Sunday melted against San Francisco again.
