This will be Heaney’s third period with the organization. The lowest figure from Heaney’s career came in 2022 with the Dodgers, when he had a 3.10 ERA over 72.2 innings before he was put aside by a shoulder injury.
As he returns to the LA organization, the Southpaw starts with Triple-a Oklahoma City and is now eligible for the late season.
Heaney was recently released by the Pittsburgh Pirates. The left -handed person was designated for assignment on 26 August. He then knew exemptions and was released by the team.
This season, Heaney was 5-10 with an ERA of 5.39, 84 Strikeouts and 1,363 whip over 120.1 innings.
The Pirates signed Heaney for a one -year one -year -old one -year -old, $ 5.25 million late in the low season, on 22 February. The Pirates held the left -handed person on the trade deadline of 31 July despite his expiring contract, but eventually chose to release the wrestling left -handed at the end of the summer.
In seasons of 12 MLB, the left-hand hire has a career 4.55 ERA and 1,154 strikeouts over 1,134.2 innings.
The Dodgers who choose to sign Heaney for the deadline appears that the team believes that the veteran can help them for the stretch run in the midst of a tight division race. LA is currently two games for the San Diego Padres in the NL West, but will have to expand their lead in the last month of the regular season.
