The Los Angeles Dodgers have officially released right -handed Matt Sauer, according to the transaction log of the team.
Sauer was appointed by the Dodgers during the weekend when Dalton Rushing was placed on the injured list and Chuckie Robinson was called. After cleaning up exemptions, the Dodgers chose to return Sauer to the free desk.

Sauer, 26, joined the Dodgers this season outside of a Minor League deal. The right-handed eventually made the schedule for the Tokyo series, but did not appear in one of the two games. He was then returned to Triple-A for the domestic season opener.
A week later, Sauer was called to the Dodgers and he allowed a deserved point in 1.2 innings work. He was then returned and spent a few weeks in the minors before he returned at the end of April. He made his first (and only) MLB start of the season, threw five innings and allowed one point in a 15-2 victory over the Miami Marlins.
Sauer made five performances with LA in May and another two in June. His last outing came when in August, when he allowed two points earned about two innovations.
In general, Sauer made 10 main class performances with the Dodgers this season, with an ERA of 6.37 over 29.2 innings. During 18 performances (17 Starts) in Triple-A, he built a 5.86 ERA on 83 innings work.

Sauer is now free to become a member of each team for the last few weeks of the 2025 season.
