Dodgers notes: Yoshinobu Yamamoto history, starting pitcher announcements, coach may leave for Rival

The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 5-1 behind a complete masterpiece from Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The ace struck out eight, walked none, and allowed just four hits in what was a historic night.

The history in question had to do with Yamamoto becoming the first pitcher to throw back-to-back complete games in the postseason since 2001. He also threw the first complete game in a World Series since 2015, while becoming the first pitcher with multiple complete games in the same postseason since 2014, among other historic feats.

In other news, manager Dave Roberts announced who the starting pitchers will be for Games 3 and 4 of the World Series. As Yamamoto has done many times before this season, he has set the bar incredibly high for the next man to follow his performance.

Finally, a Dodgers coach could potentially be poached by the Atlanta Braves as they continue to search for their next manager. Things would certainly feel different around the ballclub, as this coach has been with the Dodgers since the 2015 season, starting as a video scout.
