The Los Angeles Dodgers won an 11-inning thriller against the Philadelphia Phillies, 2-1, to advance to the NLCS in walk-off fashion.
Both teams were scoreless through seven, exchanging one run each, but after a single by Tommy Edman and Max Muncy and a walk by Kiké Hernández to load the bases, all Andy Pages had to do was hit a dribbler back to the pitcher, who made an errant throw home (not first), and the Dodgers advanced.
In other news, the NLCS schedule has now been revealed. While the Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs are in charge for a Game 5, the timing of the MLB broadcast schedule and where the series starts depends on who wins the other NLDS series.
Additionally, right-hander Tyler Glasnow has a health update after manager Dave Roberts revealed he was pulled from Game 4 due to injuries. Glasnow pitched six scoreless innings and added eight strikeouts, allowing just two hits as the Dodgers ultimately pulled out the win.
In more injury news involving pitchers, left-hander Tanner Scott was away from the team during Game 3 of the NLDS, and Roberts later revealed why. Scott underwent an abscess incision procedure as he hopes to heal quickly and be ready to return when the situation allows.
