Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that he saw starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw pitch later in the late season, despite his exclusion from the Wild Card Series selection.
Kershaw made the last regular start of his career against the Seattle Mariners on Sunday, and with the Wild Card series that is being held from September 29-October. 2, he would not get enough rest to appear in a game. Kershaw has certainly earned an appearance in the late season, because this season he has been one of the best starting pitchers of the Dodgers since he returned from an injury in May. He made 23 performances in 2025, placed an ERA of 3.36 and beaten 84 batters.
