The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the San Diego Padres 3-2 on Friday evening. La improved to 69-53 and moved in a draw with the brothers for first place in the NL West.
Prior to the final victory, the Dodgers added a first base man to the club. In a corresponding movement, a right -handed pitcher was designated for assignment.
Unfortunately, All-Star Third Honkman Max Muncy was placed on the injured list for a little more than a week after he returned from a monthly stint on the shelf. Manager Dave Roberts is convinced that the Slugger will return before the end of the regular season.
Moreover, the Dodgers are the rivalry of the Padres continuing to play down prior to the six-game in 10-day marathon. Some players feel that the brothers are more about their divisions than the Dodgers.
Finally, Flamethrowing Reliever Brugsdar Graterol had an unfortunate update from Roberts while the Bullpen suffers a blow. The skipper did not seem hopeful that Graterol would return this season.
