The Los Angeles Dodgers will soon begin their quest for title No. 10. As things stand, the Dodgers organization has nine titles and is on the verge of becoming the first team to three-peat in a quarter century.

The Dodgers may not have made many moves this season, but the moves they did make were significant. They strengthened their bullpen by adding All-Star closer Edwin Diaz and re-signing two-time champion and World Series hero Miguel Rojas.

Los Angeles has still won far more than it has lost, which is why they are expected to have the best pitching staff and second-best offense next season. ESPN MLB insider Bradford Dolittle shared why in his latest column.

“As it stands right now, LA wants to have the No. 2 offense and the best pitching staff, both in the rotation and in the bullpen. The Dodgers also have the oldest position group in the Majors and could combine some youth and athleticism. Both would be accomplished if Alex Freeland and Hyeseong Kim are ready to take on bigger roles. Of course, they would also get a little younger and more athletic if they were to sign Kyle Tucker and find a taker for Teoscar Hernandez.”

As far as the regular season goes, the Dodgers’ offense was a dominant force. They finished at the top in runs, OPS and home runs. However, they struggled mightily (by their standards) in the postseason.

The Dodgers suffered a huge slump in October, especially in the World Series against the Toronto Blue Jays. LA still has the best big three on the offensive end, led by Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, and Freddie Freeman, so that’s undoubtedly an edge they have over most, if not all, of the other 29 teams.

As far as the pitching staff goes, the Dodgers have the best, and they’ve proven it on the biggest stage. The pitching staff may have had its ups and downs as it was plagued with injuries, but once the lights were at their brightest, they turned it up.

Starters like Ohtani, Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow and Yoshinobu Yamamoto went deep in postseason games and were lights out on most days than not.

The 2025 season for the LA pitching staff got off to a shaky start. Many knew they had the talent and skill to be one of the best, and that is certainly the case as the 2026 season approaches, as they proved last October.
